When to Buy & Plant Autumn Royalty Encore Azalea
Price Seasonality
Autumn Royalty is the largest of the Encore series and won Rhododendron of the Year from the American Rhododendron Society. Deep lavender-purple reblooming flowers make it the most asked-for Encore cultivar - prices stay firm in spring demand. Fall clearance offers the best deals.
Pro tip: Buy in fall for price and planting conditions. Plant with afternoon shade in zones 8-9 to protect reblooming flower buds from heat stress.
